December - Ensemble at Darling Harbour
A short tour for the ensemble before playing at the
Variety Club Charity Christmas function at Darling Harbour. On the
same bill as Jimmy Barnes and his daughters.

October - Regional Junior Music Camp
Held
this year at Jamberoo Valley Lodge 114 Students from year 6 to 9 were
guided through 4 days of tuition and performance by a number of teaching
staff assisted by student tutors. A concert attended by families and
senior DET staff highlighted the end of 4 wonderful days.

October - Junior Company Dancers at School Spec Rehearsal
Our Junior
Company Dancers join with dancers from Newtown, State Dance Ensemble
and Hunter SPA to rehearse an item for School Spec
25th
and 24th September - Regional Spelling Bee Finals
Held
at Goulburn West PS and Illaroo Road PS the spelling bee attracted
strong competition.
Winners
from both events go on the State finals on November 2.
Stage
2 Winners were from Queanbeyan South PS and Narooma PS with runners
up from Goulburn West PS and Calllala PS.
Stage
3 winnners were from Bowral PS and Illaroo Rd PS with runners up from
Bundanoon PS and Callala PS.

Regional
Director Graeham Kennedy launched Southern Stars 2007, "Musica,
can you feel it?", to the media and an audience of sponsors and
invited guests at Wollongong City Gallery.

3 - Student Performances at Regional Principal's Conference
Karabar
Marching Band to open the conference, Regional Performing Ensemble
at the conference dinner and Performing Company Vocalist to close.

21 - Performing Ensemble at Variety Club Dinner
Annual
fund rasing event for the Variety Club of Australia held at Worrigee
House. This is the second year in a row the Ensemble has been invited
to play at this event.

Auditions
at the end of 2005 selected this group of talented singers, dancers
and actors to be nurtured for Southern Stars 2006
How
to Print the Pictures in this Gallery
The
majority of the full size images (not the small thumbnail links)
will produce acceptable prints but there are two secrets you should
know:
- Use
photo quality paper and a reasonably modern colour laser or inkjet
printer. Ordinary paper usually looks awful.
- Don't
try to print too large. Normal photo size is 10 x 15 cm (6 x
4 in) and that works just fine. Any larger and you will see a
drop in quality.
If you
don't have the right equipment or paper you can copy images onto
a CD or flash drive and take that to any photo printing service
and ask for 6 x 4 prints.
